Our school, like all the schools in Israel, usually arranges extra curricular activities for the pupils. The activities vary from going to the theatre, to the movies, to visiting museums and enjoying field trips. In my opinion, some of the activities are beneficial while others are just a waste of time. - good opening!
About a month ago, my school took us to an interesting activity about drugs. The activity exposed us to the process of making the drugs, the side effects of using drugs and the way people become addicted to drugs. I learned a lot from that activity, because it was interesting, enjoyable and it expended my knowledge on the matter.
On another occasion, my school wanted to teach us about alcohol. The school invited many people to give us a lecture about consuming alcohol. However, the lecture became too long and all the pupils got really bored. I think that this subject is so important, and I feel it’s a shame that we didn’t benefit from that lecture.
As I mentioned before, my school arranges a lot of extra curricular activities, which are not all so great. I think that my school can contribute a lot to our general knowledge, and that’s why it has to make sure that the activities it arranges are both interesting and knowledge expending.
This is great work, but I'm afraid you can't take credit for it. As I said before in class, I need to see your own work, not those of others. The gap between what I've seen you write in class and in exams and what you have written here, is too big. I'm sorry, but I can't grade this essay. Getting a little help here and there is O.K. but this is too much.
Daphna.
